WHAT YEAR/WHICH ENGINE: 124, 2000 or Pininfarina?
Used to own/drive a 72, 73 and 74 124 Spyder in D.C. and loved these cars. Great fun and at 6'3" I fit (not even close in a Miata). Now in Florida I have a Honda Accord and Suzuki GS 1100 moto. and am looking to purchase a Spyder. Can anyone advise on which year/engine may be more desirable? Am aware of some body changes over the years (bumpers, rims) but not so concerned with such, looking more at engine variations. Recall driving a 2 liter fuel injected ('81 103 bhp) years ago that SEEMED much faster than the 1.8 liter carburated (118 bhp)???

Here's the info I have from my Factory manual:
1438 (87.74 cu in) 9 to 1 cr
70 hp @ 5400 rpm
80.9 ft lbs torque @ 3300 rpm
1608 (98.13 cu in) 8.5 to 1 cr
94 hp @ 6600 rpm
94 ft lbs torque @ 4000 rpm
1592 (79.17 cu in) 8 to 1 cr
87 hp @ 6200 rpm
85 ft lbs torque @ 4200 rpm
1756 (107.13 cu in) 1974 model
92 hp @ 6200 rpm
91.86 ft lbs torque @ 3000 rpm
My book doesn't include a 2.0 liter. It only covers from 70 - 74. Maybe someone could fill that in and note if they have any differences in their findings.
