Dash wood for '81

Post by Bytor36 »

So I'm nearly complete with my 81 interior resto and I ran into a small problem: I seem to have lost one of the wood trim pieces that go into the center of the dash where the 3 indicators, dimmer, and wiper delay dial are located. Specifically need the larger of the two sections.
My question is: I see other variations of the center panel and wood trim pieces for sale on ebay and Midwest Bayless all the time. I'm just not finding my exact setup. Is there a way to know if any of these variations will work for my 81?

Thanks
Troy

Perhaps I was overthinking this a bit. For some reason I thought the sizing or grain might be different. I took a chance and ordered the upper (taller of the two) center dash wood from a 73-78 Spider from Midwest Bayless (my favorite supplier, period) and it matches perfectly! My interior restoration is nearly complete!!
