This is what white distilled vinegar does to rust! these are the rear inner wheel arch strengthening ribs.
I soaked them for three days just to see what would happen totally amazing rust just dissolved. lightly brushed with steel brush & water. you must either polish the metal with a steel wire wheel or a rust preventive right after you clean the rust off, rust will form back again right before your eyes. great for all parts you can soak and reuse.

Most are pretty amazed when they finally see how well it works for themselves. That you can get a gallon of vinegar for less money than a few ounces of the specialty products can leave you with enough cash left over for a grown up beverage and a couple of slices of pizza.

Whats is also amazing, is how your focus and self thought can be taken away by some clever marketing :(

Vinegar is great stuff at rust removal (2 Gallons for $3 at Sam's Club). Only problem is that it'll also eat through zinc based metal (some carb parts). I found out the hard way when rebuilding a 1972 Honda CB350 a few years ago.

Along with $50 to $200 from your wallet to accomplish what a few dollars of white vinegar can do.
