I'm interested in adding a wide band oxygen sensor to my fuel injected '80. Last season my mechanic told me I was running rich so I'd like to monitor this on my fresh rebuilt engine going forward.
Since this will be in addition to the stock lambda sensor I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations as to where to put it.
I assume that I'll need to have a shop weld a female connection point into my exhaust somewhere.
The gauge will either be installed in place of my clock or hidden somewhere

I used the AEM 30-4110, and it was very helpful in tuning my carb. I installed the "bung" at the confluence of the two downpipe tubes. The gauge supplied with this model will fit in your clock opening.

I found one that has a Wi-Fi controller so you can get the data on your phone (a little easier than trying to see the gauge in the dash when you are adjusting the carb).

I had a muffler shop install a bung a little further down than Bernie - mine is just above where the downpipe takes a 90 degree turn to head back out the back of the car.

My '82 FI has some sort of bung just in front of the cat. Has anyone used that location?
