I was browsing some old posts and found one that shows the rear transmission mount for and early non-catalytic converter car that has the exhaust close to the transmission/drive shaft tunnel. I am in the process of trying to run my '79 exhaust along this path and it looks like this early mounting bracket might be needed. Can anyone tell me what year cars these came on and a source for them, I have looked on the vendor sites and none have one listed?

The pre-cat spider trans mount has the looped portion to allow the center running exhaust pipe to fit. Later mounts were straight on both sides since no clearance for the exhaust was needed. Otherwise they are the same and should be interchangeable. You need to find someone parting out a 78 or earlier spider.
The mount itself will have no impact on how the downpipe and center pipe orient themselves.
