Just finished the paint, unfortunately the painter's tape peeled a bit of the white off so I'll have to retouch it before I put the clearcoat on.
The role bar and rear valence will get the same treatment.

Well I put it on, unfortunately it is a bit crooked (I used the PO's mounting points). I will fix it when I get some good weather.

You need to keep this picture for future reference as it will not stay in that pristine condition for very long. My '77 X1/9 had a painted metal spoiler and it chipped up a lot. When I purchased my '82 X1/9 it had the black plastic spoiler and it was never a problem. I like the black plastic one on my '79 Spider. Good luck!

Update.
I had a few days of good temps so I went ahead and painted the roll bar.

Is it over the top or does it work?
