Rear transmisison cross members

OK,
I replaced the 4 speed in my '67 124 Sedan with a 5spd. Yay!

The 5spd rear transmission cross member I have is not wide enough for the transmission tunnel. The one I have looks like this:

I see there is another type like below, anyone know if is wider?

Anyone have the second style that goes over the exhaust that they could measure and let me know?

I don't think it is wider, it just has the rounded part for exhaust pipe clearance on the Spiders without a cat converter.
