door hinge recess

Removed the hinges yesterday and I realized that I have no idea how to get into the recess, the place the hinge bolts to the body, to prep and paint it. I'm thinking in particular about the part on the recess, inside, that faces away. I'm not sure how they painted that area in the factory, unless they used a 180 degree spray tube!

from the interior, remove the map pockets and associated plastic. You should be able to have access from there. On the newer model cars with the plastic inner fenders, you have access after removing the plastic.
