My mama always said...

Post by SoFlaFiat »

If you don't have something nice to say, shut the F up!!

Yep, I have posted inappropriate and sarcastic comments many times. Humor is easily misunderstood in a forum such as this.
But, when it is just downright, " you are an idiot, I am smarter than you, you have no clue, I am older and wiser than you, you are too ignorant to keep your car running" ... TELL IT TO YOUR DOG since the dog will most likely still love your stuck up, self righteous, snotty, smarter than any of us attitude, despite your verbal abuse!!

Yep, I had to vent!!
Recently, I have seen an enormous rise in the negative comments. Nope, they haven't been directed toward me...
Post constructively!
Be helpful!
Compliment, if you like!
But what is the point in degrading someone who is trying? Or, does it make you feel better to tell someone what a shit job you think they are doing on something?
Can we stop with the negativity?
Just think before you post... Not so hard!!
Thanks for your time!

I was chatting with MTH earlier on in the year Ramzi and he told me AR will be jumping on board and supporting the event again, you champ!
I noticed the logo in the event flyer that goes to each club in oz.
BTW I need to get busy with you Ramzi, I've a sh@t load of bits to organise before the event, soft top boot cover in tan to start with, anyways we'll chat.

Is it within the guidelines of the forum to make fun of somebody's place of origin or language the way you have?

I only feel comfortable having fun at Andy's expense because I have met him, we talk on a regular basis and I consider him a friend! I was not joking in the least about wishing to visit down under! Or, about learning more about what I consider to be interesting and important differences in all our varied uses and versions of the English language.
Sorry if I offended! I certainly didn't mean to and if you would prefer, I will text all further jokes at Andy's expense directly to him.

Hah!!!! Zero offence taken.... despite the fact I'm not Australian :)

Darn colonials the lot of ya! ;)

I was going to pursue the "half back flankers" which was remarkably astute of my Luxembourger friend.... but given the World Cup this year, I fear I will be on very unsafe ground...

As a professional lurker for years on several fiat forums I have noticed the same sequence of events year after year.
for those of us in the northern hemisphere, beginning in November or so, totally a coincidence to when we put away our cars for winter, till March, tempers get short and flame throwers are used at will. March arrives, cars come out, and all is well with the world. Some one should study us and write a paper.

Simply invert the months for our friends in the south
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming-Wow! What a Ride! Hunter S. Thompson

My mamma used to say, if you not in bed by 10 on a school night you may as well come home.
