Hello all, just a quick question to see if anyone has any insight on the quality, fit, and finish of the body panels sold by wolf steel? Any other sources that are recommended? I'm restoring my 78 Spider. I wont be doing the body work myself as I can fix anything mechanically, but I cant weld to save my life! Thanks for the help!

I bought the seat mounting floor brackets from Wolf, and my restorer was quite happy with them when he worked on the car. Can't speak to the other panels, but their customer service was great 2 years ago.

I bought the seat brackets as well. Price was good, they shipped promptly and they fit perfectly. Robin Wilkinson was the person I dealt with.

Sorry, never bought their body panels.

Hey -

I used their floor panels. They were cheap, and I assumed that any fit issues I could break out the grinder for. They went in pretty easily, and straight forward welding. Ground back the welds, rust proofed, and all is well.

No idea what pieces you're looking to replace. If you've got rockers to work on, I seem to remember someone selling ABS ones, which seems to make more sense to me!

Thank you for the advice! I will be replacing the floors and seat mounts first. I suppose they could simply be patched but I want the job done correctly the first time so replacing the whole panel makes more sense. Alot has changed since I was working on Alfa's in the '90s when many body panels were not available so the body shop had to make them.

Make friends with the vendors - they're generally a good bunch and give great service.
