This ad happen to fly across my web browser today for O'Reilly Auto Parts. Is that a spider? Looks like it to me, but I'm not near my own to compare the details. If so, they've bought a little street cred and maybe I'll check them out next time I need some generic parts.

Looks like one to me - the hood, the rear side marker light, and the chrome boot hook thingie behind the convertible top all look VERY familiar.

Heh. Except for the car's color, could be me (well.....add a few pounds to the wrencher).
I've purchased a lot of supplies from O'Reilly's here, locally. Rarely not in stock, and always a 10% mil discount.

That's interesting because they carry almost NOTHING for our Spiders.

Re: Spider in O'Reilly Auto Parts ad?
They've surprised me with some generic stuff, like belts and filters. Their online store lists calipers and other major items, and when I've asked, been assured they could have the parts in a few days. I still prefer our vendors for major parts, but minor stuff, O'Reilly's has been fine. They even carry Rotella on a regular basis!

Re: Spider in O'Reilly Auto Parts ad?
Too bad the hood is up with someone's butt in the air and their head in the engine bay. It would have been nicer if it was shown blasting down a twisty road instead. Either way, it's nice to see a Spider being used in advertising again. O'Reilly Auto Parts is the only local parts source in Tucson, AZ where I can buy Rotella by the quart. Everyone else, including NAPA, seems to sell it only by the gallon jug anymore.

Re: Spider in O'Reilly Auto Parts ad?
I guess the O'R's figured it the car was shown running the curves, the reaction would be "who needs O'Reilly's?"
