'82 won't start when hot

Hi

My '82 starts fine when cold but won't start when hot. When I turn they key I can hear an electric/mechanical whirr from behind the passenger dash, but it won't turn over.

This guy with the same issue in his 850 - thread thinks its a grounding issue. Could the ground be the problem in a 124?

Also, when cold, sometimes it won't start in park, but it will in neutral. Any thoughts on that?
