I'll take the compliment

Post by timspider »

I think I'm within days of driving after a little more than a year addressing various issues. I thought that 2 months ago and 1 month ago, so clearly, I don't really know.
Had it towed twice in the last couple weeks. On one of those tows, while the guy was looking for the best way to attach her front end to the flat bed, he uttered a question. A question that sounded like a sweet melody to my frustrated fiat ears. Pretty simple, but made me feel great.
The question: "Where do you usually like to attach her when you take her to a show?"

I guess taking that grill apart and giving everything in there a fresh coat of black chassis paint topped off with a gloss clear coat worked :-)

tiny itty bitty victories

Much better than...
"Where do you usually like to attach her when you need a tow?"

FWIW I follow your progress and I admire your tenacity. Obviously a labor of love and I'm sure it will soon pay off and you should be proud and highly gratified for all your effort.
I'm on a similar journey and trying to avoid your mistakes! I make enough of my own.
