Brakes - Non Servo
Re: Brakes - Non Servo
Denise did it, but she has those muscular legs so stopping wasn't an issue for her

Yeah, it helped build the muscles in my right leg to match my clutch leg.
Actually, it doesn't take much pressure to apply the brakes. I don't even think Alvon realized the booster was gone on the 71 when he drove it in Michigan. You'll need to cut the booster open to get the actuating rod out of it and make a mounting plate, but it was really a straight forward conversion. Make sure you're very careful when opening that booster. It has a strong spring that can cause injury if let loose.

How is the feel of the pedal now ?
Oh and do you have any photo's of the finished installation or of the conversion

She's correct. I could hardly tell the difference between her 2 cars --- one with the booster and one without. Of course, the seat was so far forward that my knees were under my arm pits, but that's another story!mdrburchette wrote:Actually, it doesn't take much pressure to apply the brakes. Not very good pics, but maybe you get the idea. I'll try looking up my notes on the conversion and post them.
