crankcase venting with dual carbs

Post by grasshopper »

Just wondering what kind of a crankcase venting set up to use with dual carbs. Does anyone have any pic's of how it's done ? Thanks.

No pic.

I understand (and correct me if I'm wrong) the stock approach was to clamp a nozzle from the breather hose against the side of the air filter (assuming you're using air boxes vs exposed velocity stacks. Sptcoupe has a custom intake with a nipple midway down the intake that was carefully crafted into place for the breather hose to clamp on to.

I've fitted a nipple to the base of my air box on a single carb for when I've removed the stock air box - if there's room I quite like that approach.

Alternatively, some (myself included in the past) have fitted a separate small air filter on the crankcase breather.

this is an interesting subject. I have a '78 and replaced the original carb with the big can to a new weber that has a much small air cleaner. I ran the crankcase hose into the new air cleaner can just as it was with the original larger can. Now I am wondering if I am relieving enough pressure because of the smaller air cleaner can. Any advise.
