Sport Coupe Windshield

Post by aj81spider »

I'm looking at a 1972 Sport Coupe that has a cracked windshield. None of the shops in my area have a replacement. Is the windshield on the Coupe the same as the windshield on the Spider (i.e. could I get a replacement from a parts car)?

Not sure if I'm going to buy the car, but not being able to replace the windshield would make it a definite no.

the coupe windshields are much larger than a spider. I think they also change from model to mode.

We might be able to get one, I'd have to call our supplier.

I don't - thanks. I ended up not getting the car as it was too far away (Alaska).

Ah, ok. I'm going to be parting out a Sport Coupe, figured I'd find a home for the windshield.

Was it an orange/red one? I think I remember seeing it for sale - I wouldn't think there could be too many left in Alaska.

To my eyes it was more red, less orange - but that was a Craigslist ad, and who knows what my color perception is like!
