Attention Vancouver, Washington ...
Check yourself out ...
NOT Vancouver, BC and NOT Washington, DC
Are there any Spider owners in the area that would like to get together for a 'meet & greet' ? Happy Hour at Beaches would be fun.
I don't live under a rock, but honestly, I've lived in this one Spider town for 4 years and have only seen one other Spider, and it had Oregon plates.
Am I alone?

Re: Attention Vancouver, Washington ...
While I am not located in Vancouver (Washington ) Corvallis is not that far away -- a gathering of us Spider owners in the area would be great fun. However my car is still on jack stands pending re-installation of my rebuilt engine and transmission. I hope to be road worthy by late June or early July.

Yee Haa, sure Corvallis Spiders can join in.
Ring again when you are ready for a shake down run. Vancouver would be a perfect destination.
Hope all goes well when you turn the key!

Excellent georgeramos!
Might be just you and me for a while. As tartan18 is 'off the road' and several miles south of us.
Stay posted, and keep watching this thread. Maybe be can snag another couple before we pick a
place to meet.

Re: Attention Vancouver, Washington ...
I know 3 local spider owners but only 2 of them have cars on the road. I know and have recently met up with a large group of x19 owners so we may be able to get a few of them on board too. My car is currently out of commission until i solve an electrical short issue...

Re: Attention Vancouver, Washington ...
Well yes, let the Spider guys know, and tell the X19 owners also.
Unlike Spiders, I've actually seen a couple of them on the local roads.
I know nothing about the x19s, but would welcome the chance for a good old fashion 'show and tell'.
As I'm sure you are aware, there is lots of info here on a wide variety of electrical issues. My experience is
that once the problem is identified, it is revently easy to fix.
Keep posted and suggest that the guys you know chin in. We'll look to get a Happy Hour together in the next month or so.

Re: Attention Vancouver, Washington ...
Do you mean Beaches at PIR? or is there a restaurant called Beaches?
Ive been wanting to go to PIR for the Beaches Weds night thing. Went 2 or 3 times last year, even had 3 fiats on the field (2 were mine)
Usually bring some food in and buy a beer or 2 from them. Their food is way overpriced which I could live with if it was half way edible!
Anyhow, work is crazy and my wife booked us on a camping trip Thurs to Sat this weekend but maybe next weekend?

To update my car's status pending a future get-together in the Portland area -- I am now waiting on getting Mark Allison's dual HDMX carbs and intake manifold. Mark estimates the "kit" will be available by the end of this month (June). In the meanwhile I still need to install the carpet (over EZcool) and clean up some of the wiring. I will let ya-all know when the car is drivable. Cheers!

Yes, georgeramos, Beaches is a resturant in Vancouver, that is the main sponsor of the Wednesday evening car shows at PIR.
Mark Mathias, who owns Beaches, started the shows over 10 years ago at the old Pearson Airport, here in Vancouver. It moved to PIR about 5 years ago. Great cars, good food, and live music. The profits all go to charity,
I try to get to at least 2 shows a year, as the number of cars that attend is almost unbelievable,

Went to beaches last weds. Last minute decision with a friwnd. Lots of fun. Great american cars. My spider was the only italian car out there. We want to go again within 3 to 4 weeks. Frog2 want to join? I will try to have someone drive my 128 wagon. My buddy may bring his 128 sedan. Another friend just got an x19 thats being prepped for fun and there are several other local enthusiasts that i will invite. Id love to have 5, 6 or even more Fiats represented out there!

Thinking about next wed or the one after. This week is a bit busy. Anyone local available one of those weeks? We can meet at the park n ride across from the entrance to PIR then all park together.

Yo georgeramos,
I won't be able to make Beaches on the 29th. I'm having some detail work done to my car, preparing it for the Columbia River Concours d'Elegance & Car Show, here in Vancouver. It's happening on August 2nd. If you can make it, it's a great show.
The web site is:

Maybe Aug. 5?
