I want to know how I want to paint my spider, so does anyone have a couple of good sideview and three quarter view pictures of a red and/or black spider? One without pinstripes?
I'm not going to paint it anytime soon, I just want to know so I can stop thinking about it and spend my time doing more important things.
Anyone have a picture?

Sort of black No pinstriping, no sidelights, no badging except for circular FIAT front and rear.

Curly, I'm surprised the RTA authorities let you register the car without side indicator repeaters.
I'll be changing mine to the small round Euro style when my '74 gets a birthday... and deleting the rear side markers altogether.

When the car was 'engineered' for compliance with our ADRs,It had to have the original bumpers, steering wheel, wheels and tyres, carb, exhaust etc in place . I got around the side repeater lights by attaching one of those small circular ones to a bracket on the rubber return on the front tubular bumper. When all the inspections had been completed and it was on the road, I spent a week turning it all back to how I really wanted

Re: Anyone have a picture?
I hear you Curly. In WA (that's Western Australia, not the other one) we only have to have our cars inspected when they are registered. After that you can do what you like (although the police are getting very good at giving out yellow stickers for excessively modified ricers). I rebuilt my 'bunky' coupe for the purposes of inspection, but it now has bucket seats, lowered springs, adjustable shocks, 15" rims and a few other modifications which are still in keeping with the era but may have raised an eyebrow or two when getting it inspected.Curly wrote:When all the inspections had been completed and it was on the road, I spent a week turning it all back to how I really wanted
Mind you, when I placed my other coupe on club rego the inspector walked around it, checked that the numbers matched the papers and that was it!
