Electric side mirrors
Electric side mirrors
Has anyone put electric side mirrors on their spider? is it possible? I want to put Honda S2000 side mirrors on mine and I'm wondering about the set up? Any tips would be great.

Re: Electric side mirrors
I know others have done so.
I would recommend getting the mirrors, mounts inside the door ( if there are any), wiring in the door, the under dash wiring harness and switch complete from the Honda before you begin.
Alternatively you might consider the first second or third generation Miata ones as they are much more plentiful. I prefer the first gen myself.
Making a mounting specific to the exact curvature of the Spders door will be the greatest challenge but is certainly doable using bondo or some other filler. I would add a brace inside the door skin to take the load of the mirror and to have captured nuts to make assembly easier

Thanks for the add vice, I didn't even think of the weight of the mirrors. I be sure to reinforce them.kmead wrote:I know others have done so.
