How does this bend?
How does this bend?
I believe the term for it is the pan hard rod... I was looking at my car from the rear and I noticed that the wheels were shifted over to the right side an inch or more, so I got down under it and noticed that this thing was bent and I have no idea how that happened... I did have it at the mechanics and its possible something happened there because I didn't notice anything before I sent it away...

Re: How does this bend?
Not a pretty sight I would hazard a guess that someboy has tried to jack it up with a jack under the diff and it's slipped and ended up under the Panhard rod. It'll need straightening or better still, replacing.

Re: How does this bend?
from the angle it's bent at, I'd bet it was on a flat bed tow truck at some point and they tied it down from the panhard rod.

I"ve seen this quite often. It seems many tow truck drivers may not be the brightest bulb in the box
