2 liter was running about 20# idle and 55# at 3500 rpm, on the way to the city my pressure went to 55 idle and 75 cruising speed. I don't see any oil coming out of dip stick or oil cap all seem normal under the hood. I guess just the sender might be bad? I have gauge sender and red light sensor on this motor. Anything else that could cause the high pressure if it is really high?
Thanks
Chris

Chris,
The factory oil pressure gauge/sending units are notoriously finicky.
I, personally, would start by pulling the instrument panel out and un-plugging/re-plugging all of the connectors at the back of the gauge. Not some -- but all of them on the gauge.
Do the same for the multi-spade connector coming from the gauge to the main wiring harness.
Then I would do the same down at the sending unit on the engine.
Un-plug then re-plug that connector.
If there is an electrical connection problem, this may solve it by making new mechanical connections between the male and female halves of the connectors.
If that doesn't solve the problem, my guess would be the sending unit itself may be bad.

Either an electrical problem, or the pressure relief valve in the oil pump is stuck. Seen that in an X1/9 once, but that had ~100 psi of pressure.

During aggressive driving, my low oil pressure light would come on. Naturally I would pull over to the side of the road and turn the car off. However for those brief seconds, I could hear A distinct tone to the noise of the engine confirming I indeed had a problem. My point is that this noise may help you in confirming whether you have a real situation on your hands or not.
Good luck!
