Cat removal

Here are no emissions requirments where I am and I was considering taking the cat off. I had a salleen mustang a few years ago, did the same thing, it sounded like a broken truck. I swore I would not do that again. A few weeks ago I put a test pipe on my brother's fiero, and it sounds GREAT! I was wondering if anyone has a video of one running with no cat. And does this do anything for performance?

Took my cat off about 3 months ago. Yes, it's louder..... But it's great! If you can do it wrt local codes then I would say it's worth doing...

In my opinion it's only a little louder... Considering if you still have the mid-muffler and then the rear muffler. I actually wish it was a little louder to be honest. And don't worry that little 2L will not sound anything like you 5.0L with no cats, not raspy and nasty like what you may have experienced in the Stang. I actually noticed a little more pep in my cars step but nothing life changing. It also seems a little more responsive on the throttle. Do it, you'll love it!
