Motor has 49,000 on the clock.
there's an Oil leak below the injectors area near a TEE with hoses coming from the air intake.
Will it be of value if I tighten the nut that holds down the assembly to the engine?

you can tightening things to stop or slow leaks, but be careful. It is easy to snap of bolts. Seals going bad is more an age issue than i mileage issues.

Re: How to deal with oil leaks
Those crankcase ventilation hoses are notorious for cracking, likely they are the source of the leak. If they are the culprits then replace them, they are cheap. Don't forget to also get the gasket for the oil/water separator, as it will likely have to come off.
