Raduno Montebello - Mark your Calendars for September 28!

Post by 4uall »

Dear ICCO members and Italian car enthusiasts,

Many of you remember the splendid day that was had by all at last year's inaugural Raduno Montebello. Sunny skies, warm temperatures, a dream field of Italian cars on the shores of the Ottawa River at Montebello. Fiats of all shapes and sizes, vintage and high-end Ferraris, tons of Alfas and plenty of eceterrini in between. All in all, a perfect day at the Chateau.

This year's event, scheduled for Sunday, September 28, promises to be even better. The organizers have worked with the hotel to resolve the "congestion" problems at last year's Sunday Brunch. Participants who wish to partake in the Brunch should make their reservations on-line, in advance, at the website address below:

http://www.lesamisduchateaumontebello.c ... er-28-2014
The Ottawa contingent to Montebello will again depart from the Scotia Bank parking lot at 425 Preston Street at 9:30 a.m. Further details on the group departure will follow and will also be available on the ICCO website at http://www.italiancarclubottawa.ca/.
It would be advisable to make your Brunch reservations as soon as possible. Please also note there will be no rain date for the event.
The Executive of the ICCO

The weather gods are calling for all the sun you can ask for so it seems like i'll be attending Raduno for the first time. If anyone has a spare coil to cap ignition cable (an old one is fine) that you can spare, please bring it along, i'm offering to buy it off you.
Looking forward to the event and to seeing all you Spider owners.
Regards, Ari

Lol! Ok! Thanks! But all i need is the one cable either to keep as a spare in the trunk or to perform surgery on mine due to my cracking a terminal inside the boot.
Ok i'm looking forward to this event now.
The Montreal Fiat club is inviting members and non members to follow a convoy starting at 10 am so i'll follow them for the ride.

So I did it  kind of... :?
My 1st video using a cheap dash cam ( I call it my NoPro), 1st time using movie maker and my 1st post on YouTube.
Ya like I would post a cat or kid video before one of my Fiat
It was great cruising with the Phaetn in front, and of course, 4Uall, up my rear

That dash cam really shows all those little chips in the windshield plus it does pick up lots of wind noise.

Having fun like we did today is what these Spiders are all about. 8)

Plus we really do like driving the snot out of those little suckers once in a while

Enjoy

PS Phaetn I got the goat at 3:20

Meeting up at the morning departure point was a big waste of time for me, i might as well just gone straight to Raduno from home. The convoy of about 100 cars took forever to filter out of the mall parking lot, the traffic light allowed 4 or 5 cars at a time to exit. Once on the highway the cars were too scattered to be able to follow one another and the heavy volume of other vehicles on the road made it impossible to guess which of several routes were to be taken. Total waste!
In any case, Great day! Jay we nominate you official Fiat photographer. Good job on all that photography! Still missing some! The waiter's shots and Miata man wannabes. Great to meet new faces Lukas and Anthony from Hamilton, nice guys, i hope they make it to the forum. And guys, much appreciated for the beers, the cables and Spiderman!
The ride home was great, even a power-nap under some shade. Too much food! I counted 250 km round trip.
That was a great little restaurant away from the hustle and bustle of the hotel, same time same place, same weather next year, God willing!

Congratulations on your video editing and YouTube deflowering!! ;)

Nice vid. I had no idea it could swivel, too! Cool!

Do you know the video res and format of the files? Very cool for such an inexpensive device! I just might go and get a NoPro today, too, since the colours are so awesome around here this week.
