Headlight Recommendation?
Hi guys, The other night as I pulled out of a parking lot, my friends told me that both headlights on my '79 Spider were equally dim. I believe they're the original 35 yr. old headlights. I haven't investigated wiring issues & am assuming that I should just go ahead & replace them .with sealed beam halogens. So, I'm open to recommendations, but I don't want them to look blue….just bright & clear. What brand & possibly model ## would anyone recommend? Thanks, Don
Re: Headlight Recommendation?
get a lamp with an H4 bulb and install relays, you'll have twice the brightness you now have and your headlight switch will last ALOT longer

Re: Headlight Recommendation?
1. Add relays - lot of conversation on this topic in the forums
2. Replace headlights. If you want cheap, get Sylvania ExtraVision sealed beams. It's the best sealed beam there is.
DO NOT get any other type of Sylvanias, most are junk.
If you are willing to spend a little more, go with headlights that take a replaceable H4 bulb. We sell Cibies because they are the best quality, have a great light pattern, and look great to boot.

Re: Headlight Recommendation?
I second Vandor's recommendations. I purchased the Cibie H4 lights from him and was amazed by the difference in brightness. This is with stock wiring. Drove the car for the first time at dusk last week and could actually see the road.
Here is a picture of them right after install without the car running.
Sorry don't have a pic of the original lights to compare.
