Hello guys looking for the wire that goes to the carb start/stop solenoid, from what i've seen the pink wire is the correct wire that connects to the solenoid and i believe there's a second wire that connect to the carb, i have a 32 ADFA CARB ON MY 1975 124.
Here are the wires i need to identify from left to right that all need to go somewhere, i'm pretty sure the second and 3rd wires go to the intake manifold to one of the sensors that is under neat but don't think they will be used.
Any help or photo's will be very much thankful.
Wire i need help with.
I believe wire #2 and #3 connect under here to one of these sensor because of the connector head designs are the same as the cut wires on the left sensor there.

According to my wiring diagram it is the brown wire with the red stripe, or just brown. Whichever run is +12V and has a female connector and is long enough to reach the carburetor.

Re: Carb Start/Stop Solenoid Wire Color Help
I've only seen pink or blue running to the Solenoid but i did do a quick wire trace down this morning i see the wire to all the relays are all in the wire harness coming from the dash but they break off into (2) different groups, all wires going to the relay area all go to these 3 connectors i photo number 1 and 2 the other groups seems to go to all sensor than are on something such as starter, oil pump pressure reader, so i'm getting closer to figuring this out as the second group all are connected to something that has a sensor on it but these 6 wires so i believe 1 has to go to the carb.bradartigue wrote:According to my wiring diagram it is the brown wire with the red stripe, or just brown. All 3 connectors lead to relays only.
Relays remove to trace wires.
Second group of wires are in this bunch see photo half are connected to the starter oil pump, radiator heat sensor, etc but these 6 in photo number 4 aren't connected to anything at the moment .
Looking for which one goes to the Carb Start/Stop Solenoid.

I don't recall the wire that runs to the carb being long enough to reach where you have them - but that's not really saying anything as you have them unbundled. Pink or brown, try them out...whichever never switches off with 12V is the one you want.
