77 tensioner replacement
Any suggestions on getting the tensioner off? I have the belt and bolt off the front. Looks or feels like a press fit. Just don't want to damage anything trying to pry it off.

the bearing should be a slip fit. It is possible you have some corrosion that has it locked on. try some PB blaster to see if that loosens it up.

Of course everything else has gone quite easily up to this point! Always something. I hit it with blaster a couple of times with no luck so far. I'll keep soaking it and see where I get.

Re: 77 tensioner replacement
Well here is how I got it off. I have had this puller in my tool box for years and have threatened to throw it out more times than I can count, but I have just kept it even though I have never used it. Well it paid for itself tonight! Only puller in my box that would fit between the tensioner and the radiator. It actually didn't take a whole lot of force, but that little bit or rust just made it to hard to pry off.
Finally got my cam pulleys changed out, tensioner and new belt. Rotated two times and everything still aligned. Gave up after the mosquito assault so I will hopefully get everthing back together and get her cranked up tomorrow.
