I have a very nice timing belt cover i mistakenly thought would fit my 1600...it does not. im not sure if it is for a 1438 or 1592...does anyone know?
AND
Do you know if one off an 1800 will fit a 1600? Is the 1800 block taller? I have access to one off an 1800 (also alum but oddly shaped and not as nice as this one) and I'd like to dress up my engine bay with some krinkle powder coat. I dont HATE the yellow plastic but i think it can look better...

Re: Timing belt cover questions
Looks like one for a 1438.
The 1800 -should- fit, as the 1608 and 1800 have the nearly same stroke.

Re: Timing belt cover questions
Thanks Csaba. I found an old Mirafiori thread that discussed this at some length. The 1800 has a horn for a smog pump which is why its oddly shaped...

Only the earlier 1800. The late 1977 and 1978 plastic ones do not.

I'll be parting out a 74 soon and it has the alum with the horn. I might try to modify it to look a bit better...or not
