Just installed the Petronix ignitor and flame thrower coil. Thumbs up all the way. All stumbling and hesitation is gone! Car pulls great all the way to redline, and no issues at all. One less thing to worry about now hopefully!
I had installed a new points, cap, rotor, and plug wires a few weeks ago, and that made significant improvements ... but it still stumbled and at high RPMs I could feel hesitation. I'm not sure what else needed changing in the original system, but the ignitor and coil completely fixed these issues. Install took 30 minutes, and all I had to do was move the timing a tiny bit to get it back to 10º BTDC (it moved it closer to 0).
