What's up everybody? I just drove my spider for the first time! I noticed that the high pressure fitted line leading to the fuel rail (Fuel Injection) Is spraying fuel everywhere! My question is, do I have to replace the whole rail, or is it possible for someone to repair or replace this hose? I can't even figure out how the injectors come off of the fuel rail.
Thanks for your help!
Fuel line leak!
Re: Fuel line leak!
Hello,
How about a picture of which hose is leaking. This would help a lot and yes, it probably can be fixed

Re: Fuel line leak!
First off, DON'T RUN THE ENGINE UNTIL YOU GET THE LEAK FIXED! You stand the chance of that fuel mist getting into the starter, and as soon as the starter is engaged you will have a fire!
Now, the hoses can be replaced but you have to cut off the crimped clamps that hold the hoses on. With one hose deteriorated, the other hoses won't be far behind. Remove the fuel rail and injectors, cut off all of the crimped clamps. Use genuine FI hose, not regular low-pressure fuel hose and get the banded FI clamps to replace the crimped fittings.
