Carb expert needed

WANTED: Carb expert...

I have rebuilt several ADHA carbs but have kept running into something that has me baffled. During the rebuilds, a very, very, very small ball bearing mysteriously appears. Sometimes it falls out of the carb, sometimes it appears in the float bowl. Obviously, it is a check valve of sorts. However, and this is a big however, I have several expanded views of the ADHA carb and no such ball check valve exists in the schematics.

Again, the ADHA exploded view does not show it. In figure 42 of the following link for the Series 40 Weber DFA, it appears that there are two of these in that model of carb (see top of pump delivery valve and #4 pump intake valve).

Does anyone know where it belongs in the ADHA?

Likely part of the accelerator pump circuit, so that diaphragm pushed fuel through the accel pump jet, and not back into the bowl. I do not know which passage exactly it's supposed to go in.

Indeed....but I cannot find where it should be located.

Here's the exploded view which also does not show the primary or secondary jets. Does anyone have a more comprehensive exploded view?
