I'm getting my motor ready to put back in and I hit a snag putting the pilot bearing in. The old one came out after grinding the arms down on the Harbor Freight tool, but the new one is really tight. Do I just tap it in with an appropriately sized socket? Or is there another trick to it? I read somewhere to put it in a freezer first?
Also, I pulled the rear crank seal. I am planning to get a length of PVC pipe the correct diameter and knock it into the carrier. Any tips??
I am so close to getting it all back together after a year off the road, but I don't want to screw it up by rushing...
Thanks,
Brian

Stick it in the freezer for an hour to shrink it.

Thanks. I'll try that. Hopefully it buys me a little room.
