34 ADF Adjustments

Post by Torxx »

I am in the home stretch on my engine build and took my new 34 ADF out of the box and found no instructions regarding adjustments to the carb.

The main thing I noticed is that the choke is in the open position with no noticeable way to manually close it. Shouldn't it be in the closed position when not activated by the water choke to open?

Any help would be appreciated.

the choke plate should be lightly closed at 70 F.

Hey Torxx,
Sorry, I have F.I. Spider so its all greek to me, but I am sure help is on the way. You live in Hampton. Wow. My brother lives in Norfolk, on the bay next to Little Creek. The bay bridge is just to his right. I am going to be there in the first part of May for a visit. Cant tell you how many times I have jet skied out on the bay with my hair on fire. I hope the weather is great in May, cause I am ready to shake up that town again.

try http://www.redlineweber.com, scroll down on the left to tech support. There should be adjustment pages available there. Sorry, but I don't have the direct link right now

Thanks for the help. it turns out that the the sping that opens the choke when the water heats it, needed adjustment.. Ithink it's called an actuator.

Now I have new issues to sort out.

Most cameras now days it's just a matter of pointing it toward what you want a picture of and pressing down on on the little button that operates the shutter. (bahda-boom)
Seriously. . . upload the photo onto a photo sharing site, copy the URL there and paste it in the message you compose between the two indicators you will get when you click on one of the grey boxes ("img" or "URL" depending on if you want a clickable link, or the picture) above the message area.
