I blew a head gasket - so at the same time thought I'd replace everything gasket wise in between, and generally tidy things up. Got her all back together - and she wouldn't fire. Checked sparks, all ok. Checked fuel, all ok. Next stop, feeler gauge on the valves. Ok - they're not quite right, so redid the shims ... still no joy.
Went back to the workshop manual, looking for inspiration... carefully studied those little grainy pictures... had that eureka moment when I realized that I'd put the Cam Pulleys on backwards.
for the frustration of the past few days (I've retimed her 20+ times and can now do it in my sleep)
