Drove 100 miles to at an OMG 1981 124

Looked at a pretty rusty 1981.

A bondo buddy.

The car had a nice set of speedline iron cross wheels, but the rest of the car was in pretty sad shape.

Leather seats were destroyed, leather wrapped console and I/p.

I did score the iron cross spare tire plus two mint wheel caps for $ 20.

You know you've got the "fever" when you'll drive for hours to look at a Fiat. I recently took a small trip to look at a Lancia Zagato. Turned out to be a basket case, but in the end a fun trip.

My better half is in fear of me becoming like a "crazy cat person" only with Fiats instead of felines. Good thing we have limited space otherwise I'd have about a 1/2 dozen of them!

Actually, drove my Fiat 500 with a fellow FCA employee to look at the car as a potential parts car. I'm pretty sure I'll score the rims and tires for a couple of hundred $ next month. Young kids got ripped off in a trade. The engine and trans are probably o.k., but I don't have the space.

If global warming ever kicks back in, I can go pick up my 1981 spider from the St. Louis area that I had negotiated last month.

It's probably frozen in the massive sheet of ice from the new ice age.
