Fiat Club - 10 members, looking for more

Post by spidernut »

We're up to 10 interested Fiat owners in the Greater Sacramento (California) area who would like to be part of a Sacramento Area Fiat Club. We're still looking for more people. PM me or send e-mail to sacramentoareafiats@outlook.com

So far we have people from the San Francisco area to Placerville and from Lincoln to Ione. That's a pretty huge region!

Just a couple of thoughts on growing your club. Our local FIAT dealers have been fairly active with our club at local events, and they have steered some new (and younger) buyers our way who have become active in the club. They range from folks who have ABARTHs to those with Pops, and in at least one case, a younger member has begun a restoration of a 124 spider. Having this new generation of FIAT enthusiasts has been a real plus to us. So you might want to contact your dealers to do some fun events (we have had several "vintage" FIAT displays at dealer receptions, for instance) and see if you can get some new members that way.

Another idea is to post a thread about your club on one of the websites that caters to new buyers. The one below is a good one, and if you click on the "Forum" button at the top of the page, you will see that they have a section dedicated to "Heritage" cars.

And finally, you might also want to post on an X/19 forum, for the same reasons. This is one I have joined since recently becoming an X owner:

Good luck!

Lets have slice of pizza at Prontos Pizzaria in Folsom.

The owner, Joe is a crusty old Italian that used to work on Fiats with his brother Frank at F&J's auto repair in the bay area.
