Serious question... If someone wanted to spend say $65K on this car could they import it to the US? I don't think there ever sold the 166 here.

Couldn't you import it as a "kit" car, and provided you assembled it here it would be exempt from the usual DOT checks?

(provided you imported it unassembled!)
