I'm guessing either a fuel kill switch or some sort of fire extinguisher in case something blows. What is the button he depresses halfway thru the run?

I saw the same thing at Disney Land, I think it was the Buzz lightyear ride. Every time you squeeze the button you shoot stuff as you're going by. You don't go as fast though so it's easier.

His SCCA instructor would have had a fit! One hand on the wheel, one hand on the button,200mph.... If he got the slightest bit out of shape,he's a goner.Hennessy usually builds their awesome horsepower using lots of big turbos.I doubt it is nitrous,or that motor would have probably detonated if he was on it that long.Cool run though!!

Re: 200 MPH Run on Texas Tollway
At the end of the video they give thanks to the Governor, State police and a host of other groups that helped make this happen. God Bless Texas! Having lived in many states across our great union, I'd ask how many states in todays world would open a public road for a 200 mph run to a private group. When I lived in NJ in the 90's they debated how restaurants could serve eggs because of associated health risks.
The most amazing part of the video is that the car did not seem to lift or move around with the airflow at all!

Buon giro a tutti! - enjoy the ride!

That kind of thing probably happens almost every day on a German Autobahn with nobody involved but the driver.TX82FIAT wrote:At the end of the video they give thanks to the Governor, State police and a host of other groups that helped make this happen. Looked to me like a dead man switch.
Headed to Dubai tonight and Germany next week - hope to get some triple digit driving out of my system.
