Help with engine ID
Just purchased a used engine for my 79 Spider. Was told it came out of a 82 Spider. The numbers on the pad adjacent to oil filter reads 132c3 031(top) and 1224899 (bottom), can't match these numbers up with info a have. Any help will be appriciated.

carburated California spec 2.0 the bottom numbers are the engine es serial # , it does not correlate with the cars number

Looking at the data plate again that s/n may be 4224899. Does that # correlate?
