When under my 1981 Spyder 2000 to fix a loose ground cable, I noticed that the half-moon shaped flywheel cover plate on the bottom of the bell housing was missing.
I was told that there is no cover plate, that the flywheel is normally exposed and the ring gear is visible. Is that right?
Thanks,
Richard

Not on my 74. There's a cover plate and you can't see the flywheel.

Re: Missing Flywheel Cover Plate
Yes, there should be a cover plate. If you don't have one, post in the parts wanted section. Any crud getting in there is not a good thing...
