I cannot find a way to replace the kick down cable except to take off trans pan, is autotrans

no, you can release the clip, i think a 10mm headed bolt, then pull the cable out, the ball end fits into the rod. you may have to drain it a bit though as it will leak when you pull the cable housing

10 mm bold just need to drop trans down to get a wrench into thanks. i will do this weekend and let you know.
