Increased traffic

Is it me or does it seem like we are getting a lot more users/participators on the forum? That's kinda exciting!

I just stumbled across this site the other day. I erally like it, and it is a busy site! There are a few other sites that I've frequented in the past, that are busier, but they have more members than there are Fiats left in N.America. I see several firmiliar faces/names from another site I frequent.

LOL, Jeremy, Mirafiori is not a dirty word. To say the name of other forums in passing is totally acceptable. It is only a problem if it becomes site bashing or saying one site is better, or worse, etc etc. I think it's good to mention other forums. Perhaps someone stumbles upon this site and reads "mirafiori.org" in a post i made. That may open up a whole new world for them! I know about all the forums, but I just happen to do most of my posting here. I do an aweful lot of searching on all forums when I run across a problem though. each site has it's good points and bad points, we'll not get into that...

Hmm, OK! From non Fiat forums I've been on th epast, I've been conditioned to not mention other forums that are of similar content. I figured the Fiat forums were no different because it seems that the all have teh filters set up to block website addresses and so on.

well, that depends on the forum. Certainly not this one....but there is a Fiat forum that thinks this one is the pits....

So, we inthe Fiat community are not imune to the condition you speak of.

This is not a knock, but I think Mirafiori is the hardest forum to follow (well it might be a tiny knock). It just seems to flow like a diary. Also no pictures are posted, am I missing something? They do have some very knowledgable people there, but it is so hard to get caught up.

I think this forum software and Mark, do a great and very commendable job.

Right now, this site has good "Karma". I wont bad mouth any other sites, as they all have been helpfull and necessary to me. I do feel more comfortable here, and Mark is a benevolent host. I just hope that with the new influx of Fiatistas, we can maintain that warm fuzzy thing.

that warm fuzzy camaradie is something I hope we can keep in our grasp. With the increase in activity it's something I'm concerned with. So far, I feel this is one of the most helpful forums I've been on and that makes it alot more fun to visit

Actually all the new traffic has just been me logging in as different people to appease all of my personalities
It is a great forum and I check it much more than I post. I haven't even got around to setting up an account on a photo site so I can post the pictures of my baby. I also belong to a Rover site where many members talk about the bickering that goes on at other Rover sites. But two sites are all I really have time to view so I guess I will never know how unhappy other sites are but I know I like this one. Mark you and the other guys do a great job!! Thanks!!

I hear ya, I worry about that as well. BUT, as long as I know I can post a q and get an answer from you or from Mike within 5 minutes then I'll always feel the love that we had when hardly anybody was around. Besides, I like "post whoring" and as long as there is a post count listed under my name you'll continue to see "I AGREE, LOL" posts for years to come....

Haha, I wish. No the thing that happens is that although I know nearly nothing I randomly get emails from people who have been on this forum. They must see that I have a lot of posts and assume I know something. Joke's on them! A cool thing I've seen on other forums is a thing called "Karma points" or something like that.

Say I post something helpful, "Joe" can send me Karma points. I think there are limits to how many karma points I can get for any one post, but it really shows who are the "helping" guys/gals around. I've even seen where you can give people negative Karma if they start fights or say stupid things and such. That would be a cool forum "modification" You should check on that Mark, I'll give you + Karma if you do, lol.
