Forum,
I have one of the infamous carburetted 1979 cars with the water heated choke and vacuum secondary. I am trying to find or buy a guide that lists the standard jetting for this carb. I believe mine was a 2 for 1 deal. Sombody took 2 carbs and made one that functions. The primary linkage hit the choke housing and prevented more than 1/2 throttle! I need doumentation, or a complete carb that someone wants to sell. I would like to have a manual for just the carb if one is available. Can someone here give me a hand?

Original spec was (primary/secondary):
Main jet 120/115
Air jet 175/160 (49 state, 5 speed - other slightly different)
Idle jet 55/60
Emulsion tubes f84/f7
The factory manual has a section on this carb. I do not have the links, but there are a couple of websites that have a PDF version.
Also Brad Artigue has a good writeup on Webers, but I do not know if he touches on the ADHA. His manuals are at http://www.artigue.com, but last time I checked the site was down.

I don't have much on the ADHA. The carburetor is essentially an ADFA two-piece design with a super small primary barrel and a vacuum operating secondary that is further restricted by a myriad of pollution control devices. Sad thing is the 2000 Spider will pass emissions just fine without any of it so long as you can tune an engine. Strongly recommend you remove it, put it on a shelf along with its manifold, and put the 1800 manifold and DFEV in its place. You'll be a much happier man with a 102HP Spider vs. the 89 or so that ADHA is giving.
All that said, http://www.piercemanifolds.com/category_s/226.htm has the breakdown and the jetting Csaba already lists.

Brad,
Many thanks, and I am planning to go directly to a single plane manifold as soon andI get the car through smog. Since there is an original equipment requirement here the ADHA will last just long enough to get through the test. I passes all except the CO test right now. The adjustment screw on the lower block is effective but I don't know if it will pass on the CO test portion. As I menetioned before I believe I have a frankencarb. I'm sure the throttle valve lever didn't hit the choke housing on the original! IF you think the ADHA is typically wimpy, try one where the 28mm bore only opens halfway!

If the bore and choke are doing that then the spacer in between the manifold and carburetor is the wrong size. A million years ago (the 90's) you could still get the giant spacer FIAT used with that pig...I think you can get thick ones from redline. Ask around, surely someone has the original spacer for the AHDA.BillFz1 wrote:Brad,
