i've read through some posts on gas smells coming from the trunk and one fix being replacement of the hose from the fuel fill to the tank. i have the smell and it seems to be coming from that hose.
i checked on-line for this hose and found it was $40+. i found a post that included a napa part number that will also work. this can only be bought in 3 ft increments for $60+. does anyone have a cheaper source for this type of hose?

Auto Ricambi has a fuel filler hose for a '66-'76 Spider for $23 http://www.autoricambi.us/product/FU5-4 ... r-1966-76/

I believe that is a fitted piece so a vendor like Auto R is a good place to go. Other sources are any old soft sections of the fuel line could have broken down to a point that fuel weeps through.
I had a couple of nuts on top of the fuel sender back off enough the fuel weeped around the seal.

I recently picked up this Gates fuel filler hose. Part number from a mirafiori guy. I think it was even cheaper than the previous mentioned.
You'll also need to get the proper clamps. I'll see if I can track the part # down.

I can't find the part number for the clamps, but they should be wire hose clamps like these: https://www.google.com/search?q=wire+ho ... l&tbm=shop.btoran wrote:GT,

Just buy them to fit the filler hose. These types of clamps provide an even and complete seal.
