Meet up in Lower Sackville today...

Post by LunaticTaskbar »

Ok gotta say I really enjoyed meeting everyone who turned up today. I was also pleased how much in awe you was with my mighty Spider. :P

Which I have to add was driving constantly from 7:30 this morning untill about 4:10 this afternoon. (except for the initial meet and greet then lunch). But it ran faultlessly I was really happy with it,

Loved seeing the other spiders there, and the Jag, and the Porsche. Was great, I am pleased I came down.

After speaking with you all I now think I have a clear vision of the direction I will take the car in... I have always liked the mentality of working with what you have, to the max.

Thanks guys. :D

Yep, for the time you have had it, it really is a mighty Spider!

Glad you enjoyed the day, and we are all glad you came. The fact I have this post to hand means you made it back home in one piece, always a bonus! I see an idea forming in your head with the direction you are going to take with the Spider, interesting. If it's what I'm thinking of, it will look really cool 8)

Next outing will be in around a month or so, hope to see you again?

Cheers Phil
My two cents ain't worth what it used to be

Hi Phil,

Lets say its going to be an honest representation of its self with a little artistic licence.

Getting another quote on the body work tomorrow.

Keep me in touch with next month. I do hope I can make it.

So far the car is getting the cigarette lighter changed tomorrow morning together with the running rich issue fixed. I will need a higher amp alternator the 45 is not the greatest. Will look around for a 65 or a 95.

I have also been trying to find a roll bar... with no luck. If anyone reading this has one in the back of the barn, roof of the garage please let me know. I want a simple 4 point roll cage just for street, not for track.

Oh and Phil I took the car over to show a friend, and he rubbed some compound on it and Guess what... the dam thing shined... yes there was indeed a shine to it. Will see if the small spot of shineyness is still there in the AM.
