just returned from an awesome Fiat event, my first time at the Howard Prairie "Oregon" event. The comraderie, warmth and FOOD were highlights of the trip as was the quality time I got to spend with my son. (my wife had to "work' on saturday lol, mama got some alone time) Amazing people, sweet cars and a fantastic setting made for a weekend to remember. i will be going back for sure!
The 128 wagon was familiar to them all as the prev owner (and his predecessor who was the restorer) are regulars in the group and at the event. I learned a lot more about the car including the main reason for its general lack of oomph (not getting full throttle, in fact no secondary at all...) that was quickly remedied on site so my drive home averaged 7 MPH faster than my trip there. The guy who helped with the linkage was none other than the one who built the motor (from spares and new parts as he wasnt provided a core) so he gave me the scoop. I feel very lucky to be the caretaker of this baby. 2500 or so miles on the motor and trans.
Hope you all had a great weekend of SPIDER fun!
