Spider Names

Post by jclarkey »

I figured it was about time I named my car but seems to be having writers block. Best I can come up with is DL for Daddy Longlegs. Figured this was fitting as I am a 6'4" dad

What is your cars name? Other suggestions?

I went with the most accurate descriptor I could think of for my first spider - Fiasco. Kept the name around for the second one, just for luck!

Steve,

There's some real good choices, but I'd wager SpiderMatt's Spider is named "Sofia".

Mine's "Bella Limone". Here's why:

Must be a popular name cos my wife and I have just named our BS1 Sophia!
Cos she's sexy, of Italian heritage, temperamental - just like my wife!

Oh, and she drinks alot! (that's both of em!)

I know this isn't Italian, but my car's name is Beyonce'.
She got named the day I bought her.
My son and I drove her home (63 miles up the interstate with lots of shakes, shimmies, rattles, and many unknown disturbing noises), parked her in the garage, and while we were both admiring her I remember saying:
"Man, look at those headlights, that rear end, those lines. She's gorgeous".
My son, who was 18 years old at the time said: "Yeah --- she reminds me of Beyonce'"
Then we high-fived each other.
So that name has stuck with her.
Everyone who knows me calls her Beyonce'.
I can't get rid of the name, even though it's not Italian.

Roxanne was that girl in grade school. She knew I had it for her, and she for me, but would never admit it. She was a tease, a beauty, and she worked it. Even years later when I saw her, still working it. I have been damaged goods ever since. Thus Roxanne has stuck.
