I've sourced several shops in the garment district here in NYC that sell a mind boggling selection of leather which I've been looking at to re do my car's interior.

Has anyone attempted something of the sort who can offer any assistance with regards to this type of project?

I'm interested in what prices specifically one can expect to pay forr this type of custom work.

My car came from the factory with leather seats. A couple of years ago I had them reupholstered in matching leather (very good quality) and to original pattern. Having the seats, headrests, arm rests done in leather, plus new carpet (again original material, that took quite a while to source out of Germany) cost me a little over $3k in Victoria BC. Absolutely first rate workmanship.

I have been quoted about $3,000 for labor alone! Plus the cost of the leather.

In my case the original seats were in excellent shape so the foam, and back panels which is original vinyl, were reused.

Just had our seats redone in faux leather ( its really vinyl but looks better IMO than just plain vinyl). Cost for materials and labor was 1k. That included redoing the bottom cushions and installing the heated seat pads. I think they came out ok, but the shop took incredibly long to do them. Ten weeks versus the two that they promised

You may want to check with "spider point" in Gemany, they sell a custom leather interior which includes seats, door panels, consoles and carpet, around 3600 depending on the exchange rate.
