Steering Column locked?

Hey guys, It's been a trying week. The latest issue I've encountered seems to be that the ignition switch has locked my steering column. Does anyone know how to remedy this? The key no longer twists and the steering wheel won't budge. Any help would be appreciated, I'm completely lost.

Have you tried rocking the steering wheel left and right while trying to turn the key?
