Does anyone have a photo of the rear interior trim panel with the strap retainers attached? I need to know where to install these on my trim panels. Location that is. Also are these easy to install? My car interior came without them.
Thanks!

They are round things that are held in with a tin bolt and nut, there a hole in your back side panels
Don't yours have holes?
Maybe I'm off base on this ,maybe I'm not

Have a look at an earlier post of mine...5th and 6th pics down. I used the hold down strap bolts for my windscreen anchor, but I kept the original stock bolts and in the original locations.

My interior panels do not have holes in them. Has anyone drill holes in these panels before? Is it doable? Without compromising the look of the panel?

Are they hard panels? Drilling would be easyIndyFiat wrote:My interior panels do not have holes in them. Has anyone drill holes in these panels before? Is it doable? Without compromising the look of the panel?

My panels (1985.5) are hard plastic, so yes you could drill holes in them if needed. However, I would reinforce the back with at least large washers.IndyFiat wrote:My interior panels do not have holes in them. Has anyone drill holes in these panels before? Is it doable? In my case, as outlined in my descriptions, I reinforced mine with 1/4" hardboard formed to the exact same shape soas to give sufficient support for my new brackets as well as the stock strap bolts without potentially cracking the plastic panels. And in so doing it made the panels far more solid.
